Contour Wool Girth CoverI found this online when I was trying to find a new girth for my gelding who was starting to get some hair loss from the girth. I thought I was going to have to spend tons but then I found this cover they made for the saddle fit dressage girth, which I already had for years. I bought the girth second hand so I had no idea they made this for it. It fit perfectly and my gelding is so happy and the hair has grown back! I totally would recommend it and love it!

Comments: I've had this cover for almost two years now. The sheepskin is very nice and thick (I actually had to let my girth down a hole on each side so it wasn't too tight). I've washed it about 4 times, always with Melp on gentle cycle and hang to dry. After my most recent wash, the Velcro on both ends and in the middle is falling apart! It's come unstitched from the neoprene in spots, and the fabric that's bonded to the neoprene has torn away and the neoprene itself is cracking. I'm not particularly hard on my gear either: it's used a few times a week in the arena for dressage, and stored in a tack room when not in use. The cover is great, I just wish the fasteners lasted a bit longer.

Comments: I love the Total Saddle Fit Contoured Sheepskin Girth Cover! I purchased one to cover my total saddle fit girth because my horse has allergies/lesions on his skin in the girth area and when it flares I want something soft against it. I have been really happy with the cover. It is very thick and fluffy but compresses the right amount when I tighten the girth. It’s also easy to brush out with a tail or body brush to fluff up the sheepskin after use to dry it out. The Velcro seems very heavy-duty also.
