Overview
Toklat's T3 Matrix WoolBack Western Pad with Ortho-Impact Inserts and Shims provides the support and protection your horse requires, with additional customizable felt shims. Ergonomically designed for maximum freedom of movement, this Western pad features strategically placed cut-outs that allow for ultimate close-contact leg position.
Featuring a non-slip quilt ETC™ fabric top to supply security without using friction, the pad will maintain position throughout enduring rides and a contoured design allows for maximal wither clearance, making it a versatile option for use among many horses. T3 Matrix Bio-Kinetic Ortho-Impact Saddle Pad Inserts and felt shims are included so you can create a customizable fit for your horse. Three internal full-length pockets on either side of the spine come with two ¼" felt shims, for a total of 12 shims.
T3 Matrix Bio-Kinetic Ortho-Impact Saddle Pad Inserts are included with the saddle designed for athletic performance and general schooling. Ortho-Impact Inserts are especially beneficial for stabilizing the saddle for riders needing more back support and compensating for horse conformation problems. The Ortho-Impact Inserts feature a 1/4" layer of high-density Extreme Pro Poron® XRD™ foam to minimize concussion over a 1/2" layer of medium density viscoelastic foam offering stabilizing support for both horse and rider.

The WoolBack® virgin knit-wool fleece underside lining furnishes ultimate comfort, aiding in the prevention of common diseases such as osteoarthritis, muscle loss, and kissing spine. WoolBack® fleece is resilient, durable pile material offering superior moisture wicking and heat dispersal with high breathe-ability, concussion protection and comfort. WoolBack fleece is natural white in color.

Poron® XRD™ with Microban® antimicrobial protection is high-performance open-cell foam that absorbs 90% of impact energy from the rider and saddle on the horses back, as well as minimizing the energy bounce back as the rider lands in the saddle; thus, allowing for a more stable, comfortable seat for both horse and rider. The supporting layer of medium density viscoelastic foam offers additional cushioning protection without restricting range of motion.
Ergonomic Design features inserts with a longer front to complement the natural contour of the horse's shoulder to provide a custom fit that supports muscle development without interfering with important muscle groups.

Comments: Recently I had a couple of horses at my ranch who were very sore after riding. I did tons of research and discovered the Toklat Ortho-Impact pad. Two of my students purchased this pad. I must say I am very impressed with its performance. We just came back from a week-long trail ride. I check both the horse for soreness after using this pad and neither had any problems with saddle soreness. I am so impressed with the performance of this saddle pad that I am purchasing one for my own personal horse. Thanks Toklat for making such an amazing pad. It truly makes a difference in riding.

Comments: I bought this pad for a horse that is slightly downhill and was also having saddles slide forward on to her shoulders. With the help of the shims saddles now stay back off her shoulders. It is the best shimable western saddle pad I have found. The shims are just the right thickness. I love how this pad wicks moisture and that it is machine washable. My only complaint is that this pad is best for under saddles with butterfly skirts. Full skirted saddles tend to hang off the sides

Comments: Before buying this pad, I could only ride 2 days in row before my horse would have a sore back. I just got home from a 5-day ride using this pad. Adjusted the shims a little after the 1st day because I felt like my horse needed a little more in the front, and rode for the final 4 days like that. 5 days of riding and NO SORE BACK... YAY!! I think (after buying 1000's of $'s worth of other pads) I FINALLY have found the best pad on the market and the "ONE" that will keep my horse from being sore! I am buying my 2nd one today!!
