Supracor Cool Grip Black Endurance Saddle Pad Black
Overview
Endurance Cool Grip Saddle Pads are the "Coolest" therapeutic saddle pads on the market! Supracor Saddle Pads have a unique ventilation system (tiny perforations within the honeycomb cell walls) circulates air and evaporates moisture so your horse’s back stays cool and comfortable. No heat build-up! This Supracor Endurance Saddle Pad features stiffer honeycomb in the front section of the pad, ensuring maximum protection for the uphill and downhill rigors of trail riding.
Tested by competitive trail riders, this ultimate performance saddle pad is ¾" thick for the rigorous demands of long trail rides. Supracor’s uniquely modern, lightweight Cool Grip distributes weight uniformly over your horse’s back while providing exceptional stability. The honeycomb cells flex with your horse’s movements to absorb shock and minimize shearing.

Additional Information
Please Note:
Slight creases on the underside of the pad are normal and can be fixed by flipping the pad to the bottom side and letting it sit for a while to release the crease.
Technology:
Supracor's Cool Grip flexible honeycomb design was originally derived from the aerospace industry. However, unlike the aerospace industry where the honeycomb is bonded using adhesives, Supracor's honeycomb fusion-bonding technique is bonded from thermoplastic material. Because of this, it allows the honeycomb to have "memory" which gives it the ability to return to its original shape after riding. This memory technology provides cushion and shock absorption while relieving pressure.
For best ventilation:
It is best to place pad directly on horse's back, without a cover or liner.
Care instructions:
The Cool Grip is anti-fungal, antibacterial and easy to keep clean. Simply, sponge or hose it off after riding, shake to remove any excess water and air dry. For occasional deep cleaning, place the pad in a tub and squish the water through the pad.

Comments: This pad is not only comfortable but it wicks heat off my horses back so effectively that in summer I can feel intense heat coming up off my horses back and through my leather saddle! One of my horses disliked the synthetic on her back, but my other one seems to be fine with it. Again, for high desert summer it's great!

Comments: Recommended by our saddlemaker and at first I was aghast that it is synthetic but honestly, I don't think my gelding noticed. It is easy to keep clean too. It is now our favorite saddle pad.

Comments: Love this pad! Spine stays nice & dry and because you don't use another pad with it, you have a close contact feel. Clean up is easy, just rinse and air dry! As an added bonus, there is minimal saddle slippage. I no longer have to dismount and adjust my saddle after inclines!

Comments: I love my Supracor. I have had it for 3 years now and it has little wear yet has been used for 1,000s of miles. I use it on my two Arabians: one with a Wintec Endurance and the other a Black Country Celeste. I tried a trendy wool pad with inserts when my saddle fitter suggested nothing beats natural fibers and that I should use the natural fiber pad with the leather saddle and my horse developed a sore back. I returned to the Supracor and my horse is great (and there is no harm to my leather saddle). It is also very easy to keep clean!

Comments: This is a fantastic saddle pad. It is a little stiff, which provides support. I have a saddle that is an almost-perfect fit, and this pad has made it a perfect fit. Even further into the endurance-racing season, when my horse drops a little weight, the pad cushions enough to make constant saddle adjusting unnecessary. The dorsal seam sits in the channel of the saddle, drawing air to cool the horse's spine. Even after a hard 30 miles, my mare has a perfect sweat-free channel on her spine. It is easy to clean. It also seems very durable, great quality. I've had mine for about 6 months of hard riding, and there isn't any sign of wear. It fits the giant, older (pre-2013) english Wintec endurance saddle just fine, as well as my smaller jumping saddle. The elastic keeps it nicely in place. The only thing I have to say that isn't a glowing positive? It is a cold pad in the winter. If you put it on a sensitive horse and hop right on, the horse might act fresh until it warms up. I get around that by letting her stand tacked under a cooler or quarter sheet for a minute, to let it warm up, while I pick her feet. Once the horse is moving, it warms to body temp and then no worries.

Comments: I bought this pad in 2004 for my 4 year old mare who was somewhat coolbacked...nothing else worked...we tried all sorts of saddles and found that the saddle wasn't the issue. I found out about this pad at a clinic and decided to "bite the bullet" and get one... best thing I ever did. I even use it in shows when she showed signs of not wanting to be saddled or gets tensed up. She is 5 now and seems to have outgrown the "coolbacked" issues but I still use this pad on her and my other horses for trail riding and schooling. It is well worth the money... and it cleans up so nicely too! We have very hot humid summers here so having the right pad is very important to me.

Comments: Sadly I didn't find the pros with this saddle pad that others have. In fact, quite the opposite. The sweat and heat pooled underneath this pad and when I took it off the sweat just poured off her back from underneath it like nothing I have seen before. I don't know what I did different from everyone else but would not buy another one. Sticking to the good tried and tested wool. Sorry wish I could have posted something positive but really annoyed this wasn't what was claimed as its not cheap.
