Sizing
Please Note: In general, horses will use one size larger on their hind legs than the front legs. However, always measure BOTH the front and hind legs to ensure you are getting the correct size for your horse.
Size | Horse Height | Cannon Circumference | Boot Height |
---|---|---|---|
XS | Up to 1 | 9" | 9¼" |
SM | 14-15hh | 10" | 10¼" |
MD | 15-16.2hh | 12" | 11" |
LG | 16.2-17.2hh | 13" | 11¾" |
XL | 17.2+hh | 14" | 14" |
How to Fit: The fit of the SMB II boots is important to ensure that you and your horse receive the optimum amount of protection and support. When measuring your horse for boots, the circumference measurement is more critical than the height, as the boot must overlap ½" to 1½" to be effective.
Previous Feedback
Comments: I bought these boots when I started to run barrels for fun, but now I use them all of the time because I love the support and protection that they offer. You can put them on in a flash, and they are super easy to simply hose off after riding (although I hardly ever wash mine, and they are still in great shape!). I’m also a huge fan of how adjustable they are. Now, I find myself riding several different horses and a medium fits all of them!
