Overview
Designed for schooling, turn-out, and trail, the Majyk Equipe ARTi-LAGE Technology Sport/Dressage Boots provide the safest and most effective protection for your equine athlete. Built with the most durable and lightweight TPU material that is equipped with ripstop properties, they also repel dirt, dust, and water to make them the most versatile boot on the market. A perforated, neoprene-free bio-foam liner allows air to effectively circulate the boot keeping the leg cool and well ventilated- especially during long schooling periods or turn-out.
For even better coverage and protection, the updated sport boot now features an inner and outer strike plate with a layer of ARTi-LAGE. Offering the latest impact protection, this innovative technology works at the molecular level. When the boot is struck by force, the free-flowing molecules harden on impact. The locking mechanism of ARTi-LAGE absorbs the energy of contusion, reduces the force transmitted, and passes the trauma away from the horse's leg- all without hindering the horse's natural movement.
High-quality, double stitching ensures longevity, while the built-in stitch channel resists separation from wear and use. The tough binding with slick exterior prevents burrs, grass, or twigs from being picked up, making this boot an excellent choice for trail riders. With the additional coat of "Ever Clean" to the outer shell, clean up time is cut in half as mud, dirt, and debris can easily be washed off. Long double velcro straps can be easily adjusted for a perfect fit on the front or hind legs!

Sizing
Size | Length (Height) (in.) | Circumference (in.) |
---|---|---|
SM | 9.6 | 9.6 |
MD | 10.6 | 9.8 |
LG | 11.0 | 10.2 |
XL | 11.2 | 11.4 |
Sizing in Hands | Front | Hind |
---|---|---|
14.3-15.2 | SM | MD |
15.3-16.3 | SM or MD | MD or LG |
17-18 | MD | LG |
18+ | XL | XL |
Measurements: Circumference is measured around outside of boot. Height measured on inside.
Note on sizing for the Dressage Boots - Majyk Dressage boots are conical in shape and may be switched from front to rear legs. Generally, a horse would size up for hinds boots (e.g., SM in front + MD for hind, or MD in front + LG for hind), depending on breed, height and other factors.
How Majyk Equipe Suggests Checking the Fit of Your Boot:
"You should be able to slide one finger between the protective boot and the horse's leg. Your finger should feel snug between the two surfaces. If the boot is too big or too loose, dirt can get inside and cause abrasions, or slide downward where it may disrupt the horse's movement. If the boot is too tight, it can cause pressure on the horse's tendon. The length of a boot on your horse's leg should be checked as well. You don't want the boot to be so long that it rises to the back of a horse's knee and interferes with normal movement. It should, however, be long enough to cover most of the cannon bone area as well as the inside of the fetlock."

Comments: My ottb has an old tendon tear and even though it's a few years old I was told by the vet not to let his legs get hot. I won't use most boots on him but he needs something from protection from himself. I love these. His legs are tighter after I take the boots off than when I put them on. We've used them in all weather, even 90* humid KY weather.

Comments: I bought these to replace a previous version of the Majyk dressage boots, and I've been disappointed with the new and "improved" design. The previous versions lasted a really long time but the lining on the newer version started cracking right away. The fit is stiffer and more rigid and the shape seems a little different- a little longer. They'll do for the time being but I will probably try a different brand the next time round. I think I'm also pretty much over these prima-donna Olympians shilling for horse products. I'd rather they cancel the sponsorships and invest in product quality control.

Comments: I bought these a while ago to use for trail riding, hunter paces, and general hacking. One of the back boots is all cracked and the material over the strike plate has cracked and broken, revealing the strike plate beneath. These were lightly used and I'm surprised they did this. I'm not sure about the durability of these boots, which is super disappointing because I love everything else about them. :(

Comments: These boots are wonderful for everyday schooling and occasional light jumping. Very lightweight but tough. Easy to clean, and my horse's legs don't get too hot underneath. I wish I had gotten them in white though instead of black. :)

Comments: I wanted to love these but ended up sending them back. They are fairly rigid and ended up causing a small inflamed area at the top where the edges are bound. Also, the smalls are about an inch taller than similar sport boots in small so if you have a horse with short cannons who normally wears a small these may not work.
