Overview

Easycare's EasyShoe brings you the most innovative horseshoe on the market!  With the ability to either be used as a glue-on shoe or a traditional nail-on shoe, the EasyShoe Performance NG shoe is a wide-webbed shoe that has an integrated frog support, giving your horse the feel of being barefoot while still maintaining crucial hoof protection.

Constructed out of polyurethane, the Performance shoe is a great choice for horses who have been consistently barefoot or are experienced with using any of the EasyCare Easyboots. Because of the unique design of these shoes, contact and interaction between your horse's hoof and frog and the ground are maintained.  This helps maintain the same feeling that your horse has when barefoot or in boots.  This shoe also incorporates both lateral and vertical flexion, which allows the hoof to expand and contract with every step and also allows the heels to move independently.

EasyCare recommends these shoes for all riding disciplines and activities!

Additional Information

Application:

The Performance NG EasyShoe can be applied with the use of Vettec Adhere, PolyFlex Bond, or using regular (E-Head) nails.  This gives you the flexibility to make the EasyShoe work for your needs! If using regular nails, the EasyShoe can be carefully removed and used again. Riders typically get approximately 500 miles out a pair of shoes that are re-used.

Please Note:

EasyShoes may only be returned for a refund if they are in a new and unused condition.

Comments: So far I am loving these shoes. My mare cannot wear traditional shoes due to a previous injury so I have been booting her for 3 years now in Easy Boot Gloves but switched over after a major boot failure that caused us to have to RO on a tough LD. My farrier nailed and glued and I am not having any issues with them staying on. This was the first time my farrier had worked with these shoes and he was very impressed with the design. I was a little worried about them being slippery but I have not found that to be true at all. We did a mounted orienteering competition this weekend on a very, very wet and muddy trail with hills and had no issues whatsoever with slipping.

Comments: I have had better luck than the others here. My mare can NOT use boots. She interferes a LOT & breaks and peels them ALL. My farrier fits all 4 NGs then we glue and nail them. Plenty of Adhere and 6 nails per shoe. She is so rough on them that I generally have to touch up the glue every week but have not lost a single one. Even when she loses a nail. I have even added Adhere to spots she wears the plastic through to the steel insert. I do a new set before a 50 and then get another 75-100 training miles out them. I live in 90%DG sand which grinds them up but use them all over northern NV & CA.

Comments: I used these for an LD last year. They got me through the ride, but one fell off within a week. My farrier says he's had nothing but trouble with clients using these. However, they will stay on for a few rides and that's so much easier than booting. So I put another pair on this spring for conditioning and I once again like them if they'll stay on.

Comments: I have used these through several cycles last summer and completed three 50 mile endurance rides on them. I did find that they lasted about 100 miles then started to fall apart. But even then stayed on and did their job. I did find that I needed to trim them to fit properly otherwise they did come off early. I only nailed on. I find them to be a good solution for my riding experience.

Comments: This shoe did not work as a nail on only. I have a great farrier and the shoe fit perfectly. We nailed them on, no glue. They started to come off on the second ride. Also they worked great on the asphalt and dirt but were very slippery in the mud, pine needles, and grass. We slid down a slightly muddy hill and my horse completely fell on grass. I have ridden in better plastic shoes. I am glad they are coming off after the second ride because I didn't feel safe in them. They are only good for very dry trails, rock and asphalt riding.

RW: For long grass, mud, pine needles and other slippery areas, EasyCare recommends that the quick studs be used with the shoe for added traction!

Comments: I went with the Performance N/G based on a recommendation from EasyCare and am not totally happy with them. The Performance model is a better option for me. Let me explain. If you are going to nail only or nail and glue, then the Performance N/G is a good option. But, I wanted to glue only, and the five tabs are cumbersome. I cut off the front tab because forced the shoe where I didn't want it. In addition, it is just one more tab to get situated before the glue sets.  The extra tabs on the sides make the shoe cumbersome to glue. My horse is quite good about standing still, and it was difficult to get the four remaining tabs situated correctly. The Performance model just has two large tabs, which makes more sense for those that wish to glue. As always, Riding Warehouse shipped fast and provides awesome service!
