Overview

Designed to provide a comfortable and safe alternative to trailer tying or portable corrals, the exclusive EasyCare HiTie™ Horse Trailer Tie System offers safe and controlled freedom of movement that allows horses to graze, eat, drink, and lie down while tied to the trailer.

The HiTie™ is a flexible fiberglass arm that easily and securely attaches to the side of a horse trailer or building wall. After installation, the HiTie™ extends four feet from the base and when combined with the HiTie™ Bungee Tether, sold separately, provides access to an area equivalent of a 13-foot diameter round pen.

Heavy-duty stainless steel and high strength fiberglass construction guarantees safety, security, and longevity. The fiberglass rod used in the HiTie™ system is also used in mooring whips designed to dock and protect boats weighing up to 72,000 pounds.

Installation:

The HiTie™ System Package includes the complete HiTie™ arm and mounting bracket with hardware and instructions for installation and one D-Ring Pin & Safety Clip set. Storing:

The HiTie™ System stores flat against the trailer and includes an anti-vibration/locking washer that can be tightened to prevent unwanted rattling or vibration during travel. The locking pin and rotating arm within the mounting bracket allow the arm to store left, right, up or down.

Hi Tie is AwesomeAfter a terrible mishap with my mare breaking through pvc and electric and being gone for 48 hours, I was ready to invest in the Hi Tie system for my trailer. It gives her freedom to move and she is safe and secure. I’m going to get a second one really soon. It’s pricey, but it’s high quality and worth every penny.

Great for camping with your horseI recently purchased the EasyCare HiTie Horse Trailer Tie System for a weekend event that involved camping in an open pasture. I wanted to avoid the extra work and storage space required by a portable electric fence, so I gave this a try. The quality is excellent with solid, heavy materials. My husband is handy and had no difficulty installing the HiTie so that it folds down vertically when not in use. We placed a 4x4 inch adhesive thin rubber pad on the trailer to keep the HiTie from scratching the exterior while bumping down the road. I was concerned about the strength of the velcro attachment of the bungee rope, but the first night there was a lot of activity in camp and my 1000 lb 7-year old quarter horse mare spooked and pulled back pretty hard. The HiTie held her safely and she quickly calmed down. She spent the rest of the weekend happily tied overnight with access to both her hay net and water. Please note that my mare is used to being hard tied to the trailer with the rope length about that of my fingertips to my elbow and had never pulled back before. If she wasn't used to being hard tied, I would have been more likely to choose another option. However, this worked great for us and I would definitely recommend it!

Love Love LoveI absolutely love this HiTie Horse Trailer System. I mounted this pointing down and put a pool noodle on it so it doesn’t bang against my trailer. My only thing is that I wish they would include everything in the entire package so you don’t have to purchase pieces separately (the bungee tether).

Comments: We bought a new trailer last year, and had this installed. Worth every penny! I never liked tying to the trailer, and you don't always have trees for a highline. The horses move freely, being able to eat and drink. Only complaint, is when the horses move widely on the line, it will move the trailer when you're trying to sleep.

Comments: I have a HiTie as well as a portable pen for camping. Nothing beats setting up camp for the horses in 30 seconds! These are very sturdy, but must be installed on a solid part of the trail. My horses feel comfortable laying down on the HiTie, and they have plenty of space to move around.

Comments: I got the pleasure of using one of these on my friend's trailer at a ride recently. My horse enjoyed it and was very calm and comfortable during his first ride weekend. I think he liked the freedom of movement it provided and that he could look around easily at everything going on. It also looked as if he laid down during the night which showed he was content with the setup. I told my husband that this is what I want for Christmas. :)

Comments: I have a 2 horse trailer that we installed 2 units on - one on each side. Love them. Wherever we go, people ask about them. I've just ordered 2 more for the new living quarter trailer we're getting. I want to keep the setup on the 2 horse for when I do short hauls. As an aside, my hubby installed one upside-down. After about a year of inattention, the bolt backed out and it fell off on the freeway. We looked for it for days, finally found it. After being run over by big rigs for 2 days, it was still in great condition, just a few cosmetic scratches. These things seem unbreakable.

Comments: I am more than a bit miffed that after paying close to $300 with extra to receive second day air that this came in late and the bolts are too short to attach through a support beam on my trailer. Now I have locate bolts that are usable. Bolts would have been one of the main things I was paying for when I bought this.
