Handy for the occasional riderI keep my horse trimmed and barefoot. It has worked well but I wanted extra protection when trail riding. My first set lasted two years, and I was very pleased! My only warning would be that it takes some strength and finesse to get them on. If your horse is bad with his feet I would not recommend. I am a 67 year old woman and use a hoof jack as an aid.

Love these bootsI have an eleven year old gelding who has never been shod. My farrier suggested these boots for my trail riding, and they have been great. The investment of $200.00 lasted me two riding seasons. My horse never got sore from them, which is a big plus. It takes a little strength to get them seated and I use some Vaseline to lubricate the rim of the boots and a hoof jack to rest his hoof while putting on. If your horse is difficult with the handling of their hooves this product would not be for you. FYI - I am a 67 year old woman.

Great boots for the right hoovesMy pony has hooves that are nearly as wide as they are long, and while she used to wear Scoots without a problem, something in her trim changed and she started flinging off Scoot boots almost every ride. Based on her hoof shape and with the small amount of quarter flare she has, I didn't think the Gloves would work out. But once I went through a few boots to figure out the smallest size I could cram onto her feet, they haven't budged! We rode 50 miles in a weekend without a rub or twist. The stitching around the gaiter seams appears to be the weakest point - I haven't used the boots for 2 months yet and I can see seams unravelling - but I'll sew the boots back together myself if that's what it takes. Thanks, EasyCare!

My go-to bootI've used a lot of boots over the years, including many in the EasyCare line as well as other brands. For a low-profile, minimal hardware, easy to apply boot, I keep coming back to the Gloves, especially in aggressive terrain or difficult trails. I have used them on many different horses and they cause the fewest rubs of any of the boots I have used. For extra grip, I do have to use some tape around the hoof, but it is otherwise the best boot for me and what my horses need.

Best boot everI have used Scoot Boots, Scoot Enduros, Flex Boots, Explorers, Cavallo, and these are the best boots yet. They stay on, even in rigorous riding. The trick is a very snug fit, no wiggle room at all. I use a small rubber mallet to tap the boot into place. Unlike the others, I haven't lost one yet. On my 3rd pair. Love em!

Quality of soft rides keeps getting worse.I've barely had this boot a few months, and the top part of the ankle ripped out again when my horse barely touched the back with his hind hoof. It's like the top is no longer fully stitched to the base. 6 of the Soft Gloves have done this. They get used for one hour of light riding 4 days a week. EasyBoot has a terrible warranty, like one month. EasyBoot is unresponsive for quality issues. Unfortunately, these are the only boots that fit my Thoroughbred, so I'm kind of stuck until some other company develops a glove-like fit.

Mule Motion MagicProbably not a lot of riders reading this are using these boots for mules, but still a mule is half horse. It’s hard to find hoof boots for mule feet because of the protruding heel bulb; some horses have this, but it’s ignored and the soreness is blamed on a stone bruise or turning a foot wrong. Watch those heels! Learning the hard way is no fun and painful for your equine partner. That said, the reason the EasyCare Soft Gloves work for my horse and my mules is the soft heel area. One mule has a horse-like, low heel foot, while the other has a straight up donkey foot; both have the large heel bulbs that you want to protect and keep healthy for heel-first landings. The EasyCare Glove Soft works for both of these hoof types in mules. I do use the power straps. I also color code and clip a little “ear notch” at the top corner of the right boot so that the boots are always worn on the same foot and each mule has their own boots. There are and will always be new boots coming on the market, and that is a good thing. I’ve tried several different brands and types, but I always come back to the EasyCare Soft Gloves. The gloves with the hard, rubber back shell look like they will last longer but do not work for my mules. EasyCare has made the closure tabs wider and able to close in a way that won’t rub the hair off at the front of the boot. I use these on rocky, boggy, and sandy trails. They stay on and grip the hoof wall even in mud. I drill two holes in the bottom and add my shoe fill material with a chalk gun then let stand until it sets; it forms to the frog and sole but will come out easily and can be reused to give the hoof contact with the ground inside the boot. Also, the holes let the water drain back out. Not a professional or anything here, just a rider who loves great, hard-working products that make my equine family happy. Riding Warehouse has all the great products because they are the professionals! Why not get products from the people who have been there, done that, and know what works and will work with you. Happy trails!

EasyBoot Glove Soft Hoof BootThis is an excellent boot. I have used these on my navicular mare for 3 years now, and they keep her comfortable. I also put a soft pad inside them for added comfort. The soles last for months and even when they wear out at the toe I can continue to use them with a pad inside. I actually have a pair on her now that are a year old, and she wears these all day until I take them off at night when she is stalled. The Velcro does wear out eventually, but duct tape works well to keep them closed around the top. Plus, they do "fit like a glove" unlike other boots.

Best easy bootThis is the best hoof boot of all of the ones on the market. Once you get the right fit this boot does not rub or chafe at all. Easy to get on and off. I have literally tried every boot on the market and have an entire shelf full of all the failed boots. Riding Wharehouse was great to work with, ship quickly, and make exchanging boots to get the right fit a breeze!

Fantastic bootI've used so many kinds of boots, but so far, so good for these! I ride in very technical mountainous terrain, and they have held up and stayed on. I originally ordered according to the size chart, but they did not fit snuggly. I returned them and ordered a size down/smaller and they fit perfectly. They are supposed to be a little tough to get on... If you can wiggle the boot in any direction when on the foot, it doesn't fit properly. The smaller size slips on relatively easily but I do have to kind of wiggle it back and forth to get it on, and use a little muscle to get it off too... but that's what you want in these kinds of boots... a TIGHT FIT/2nd skin kinda thing. I recommended ordering a size down from what EasyCare says to order.

Fits true to the size chart. Measure carefully so it fits like a glove.

Previous Feedback

Comments: Great boots! I've been using them for about 6 months now, for every single ride. No rubs on my horse, no loose stitching, and the velcro holds strong. The soft gaiters are perfect.
From: Anonymous

Comments: So happy with these soft gaiters! On longer or multiway rides of 50-100 miles, these do not rub my horse's heel bulbs. Not sure if its the softer fabric or the change is velcro and gaiter size, either way, we're happy with the product. My gelding is a 16+ hand, big boned horse and wears the wides.
From: Jeanette - Westport, New York, USA

Comments: Don't buy these! The boot shells are very durable, but the gaiters are junk! On the last 6 boots I've purchased, the stitching has come undone where the fabric attaches to the rubber heel piece. One gaiter came unstitched right out of the box! C'mon EasyCare, what happened to your quality?!
From: LM - Washington, USA

Comments: I have used easy boots for over 40 years. I'm not sure why but the gloves soft are not what they used to be. The gators are not as good a quality as the stitching breaks in a very short amount of time and the soft section tears away from the Velcro strap. $35 for replacements can get expensive. The Velcro part has been made shorter than before so now they want you to order an extender piece. Really? Easy Care Inc. seems to be discontinuing the boots that worked for boots that are very difficult to get on especially for an older woman like myself. Such as the Fury. Have fun with this one ladies. You have to have the strength and mechanical abilities to get this one to work.
From: Cathy- Colton, California, USA
Manufacturer Response:  We apologize for the experience you've had with the Easyboot Glove Soft Hoof Boot. At this time, we have never heard anyone say that the Velcro straps are shorter when, in fact, the Glove Soft Gaiter straps were deliberately made longer than the straps on the 2016 Glove and before. My thought is that your horse has higher heels, making the Gaiter and straps more difficult to get around the pastern. The stitching on the Gaiter seems to let go when the shell of the boot does not fit properly. It puts too much stress on the Gaiter, causing it to rip. Since the launch in 2009, all of our Glove boots take a very precise fit and, if the boot doesn’t fit properly, customers are going to have problems. However, we will pass this information along to Brendan for further investigation.

Comments: My horse lost a shoe so, I put an EasyBoot glove on for turnout one night; my horse ripped the boot off. The material of the boot IS NOT STURDY!
From: Debbie - USA
RW Response: We are sorry to hear the EasyCare EasyBoot did not last as long as expected. Please do not hesitate to contact our friendly customer service team to take advantage of EasyCare's 45-day warranty.
