Comments: Oh...my...gosh! Best thing ever! I set up my horse camp while still cool and shady and thought I may not need these...then the sun moved overhead and things heated up...and the flies and giant mosquitoes suddenly appeared - everywhere. Was SO thankful I had two of these ready to go. Works great!!! Now home and immediately ordered the refills to have ready for my next campout in a couple months.

Comments: Fly season is already here and took a bunch of these camping last weekend to hang over my horse's temp corral and over my eating area - worked GREAT! It was super hot and many flies around - friends enjoyed hanging out in my camp!

Comments: This is a great fly repellent without an offensive smell. It's nice to have something that will repel flies without feeling like you're inhaling poison! It lasted a couple months before I used my refill. I put one in my backyard too because it's easier than lighting the bug repellent candles and lasts longer.

Comments: This is VERY EXPENSIVE AIR FRESHENER! I bought 3 BugPellents even though the recommended amount for my small barn area was 2. The smell was very strong for about 2 weeks, but that didn't bother me or my horses. What was worrisome was that it also didn't bother the flies!!! The claim is that the benefits last up to 8 weeks, but I refilled mine after 6 weeks because the nice smell was all but gone. I was silly enough to buy enough refill packs to last the summer before I knew whether the product really worked. I actually have a photo of a fly sitting just 2" from one of the BugPellents right after I refilled it! During this same time period I filled 8 sticky fly tapes that I hung in the same barn. I also hung 4 of the Big Bag Fly Traps out in my pasture and only 1 of them has filled this summer. So is it possible that the BugPellents actually attract flies???

RW Response: Many of the Riding Warehouse crew members use BugPellent to keep insects away from our homes and horses, and we've found that the BugPellent units usually take about 12 hours to fully release the oils into the air and reach full potency to repel flies and insects. We've also noticed that the smells tends to dissipate after about one week, but the potency of the repellent does not seem to be affected until the 6-8 week period. Many sticky fly tapes contain chemicals that act as a strong attractants for flies; however, BugPellent is recommended as an all-natural alternative to synthetic and chemically-enhanced products.
Comments: Love this BugPellent! Bought a couple last year they work GREAT!! I'm so happy they have refills because I use these in my barn and above my patio table near the house - great for mosquitoes as well!

Comments: I was hoping this would work as well as the BugPellent gel, but it does not. Like another review from IN stating, the flies actually hang out right on this product! It has been up for a couple of weeks and has not worked at all. I am thinking perhaps because I live in FL and like the other IN customer, the humidity may cause it not to be effective as if used in a drier climate?
